Settling into the yoga/surf town of Cahuita. Every morning, a walk to the beach, a couple of swims then return to write and research for hours. Pretty amazing to see how much I have retained from the McCarthy era to now- 70 years of learning and growing.

On the safe part of Playa Blanca, the surf is calm the water warm and the sun is hot.

over the bar is the fresh water lagoon, not going in there.

The $10 tyvek hat from Dick's is essential. Folds small, waterproof and sunshade.

Here’s a tidbit from the McCarthy era. You may already know it…

An FBI informant and professional blacklister, Harvey Matusow worked at People Songs and falsely accused nearly every folksinger he knew of being a party member in Red Channels. He also was a paid informant for McCarthy.

In his book False Witness he wrote how he was coached to lie by Roy Cohen. Cohen was introduced to

McCarthy by j.Edgar Hoover because he had done such a “fine job” with the Rosenbergs. Under McCarthy RFK worked under Cohen.

( I think McCarthy is RFK jr’s godfather).

McCarthy, Cohen, and Hoover also

pursued homosexuals (odd because 2 out the 3 were) and lesbians in the governmen…
