Tomorrow morning bus to Boston, then a 2 day train ride to Miami. Why a train? I like the legroom, I don't like airports and the lines and the cramped seats. And why not see the world at ground level? In the 1950's, visiting my grandparents in Dodge City, Kansas, we would fly to Kansas City. With no airport in Dodge, we would take the SuperChief overnight to Dodge. It was luxury with passengers on the second level and lots of windows. Probably not so luxurious today, but time to read, write, and think.

On Wednesday, I fly to Panama (looked for a freighter carrying passengers but so few since Covid). I will take a boat tour through the canal and enjoy the warmth and food of Panama City. Then I fly to upper Panama-David is the town. And I will travel to the mountains and the sea: Boquete and Puerto Armuelles to visit some Gringo expat communities.

More plans and the trip starts tomorrow as I ride the train.
Sorry about your back ache! Stretch daily. Big Hug
This sounds like a spectacular adventure! Thanks for sharing it.
Trains are the best - I took the Silver Meteor route from DC to MIA traveling in The Dover Harbor restored 1930s Pullman ( DC has a railroad historical society that maintains it.) Seeing the landscape change along the rails is unique.
